Sabine is the Executive Officer (D1) of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ. She works directly with the Rector in the day-to-day management of the University and in the implementation of key institutional priorities.
Sabine also serves as Secretary of the University¡¯s Governing Board, the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Council. Sabine previously served as the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Chief of Staff. Prior to joining ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, she worked as an independent consultant on questions of aid effectiveness, humanitarian coordination, and organisational performance for UN agencies, NGOs, and governments. She also worked as an evaluator with the UN¡¯s Office of Internal Oversight Services in New York and the UN Evaluation Group. Sabine started her career at a European consulting firm where she managed several development and institutional reform projects in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the Middle East. She holds a PhD from Waseda University in Tokyo, and master¡¯s degrees in international relations, with a focus on development and evaluation from Sciences Po Paris and from Universit¨¦ Paris-Sorbonne. She is fluent in English, French and German, married, and has two children.
