²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS Now Accepting Applications for 2023 Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme

The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability is now receiving applications for the , which will commence in September 2023. This fellowship, jointly organised by the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), offers promising young researchers the opportunity to conduct advanced research in sustainability in collaboration with host researchers at Japanese universities and research institutions.

The programme is open to candidates who have completed their doctorates within the past six years and have professional and/or research experience.

Fellows will conduct research in one or more of the main thematic focus areas of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS: Biodiversity & Society, Governance for Climate Change & Sustainable Development, Innovation & Education, and Water & Resource Management. Fellows selected for this 24-month programme will receive a monthly maintenance allowance of JPY 362,000 as well as round-trip airfare to Tokyo, a settling-in allowance of JPY 200,000, and travel, accident, and sickness insurance coverage.
