²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-CPR hosted the launch of the?Antislavery Legislation Database, a resource compiled by Professor Jean Allain and Dr Katarina Schwarz, to improve global access to anti-slavery legislation worldwide. The comprehensive, interactive online database maps all UN Member States¡¯ domestic legislation against international anti-slavery commitments, covering slavery, the slave trade, servitude, forced labour, institutions and practices similar to slavery, and human trafficking. It provides an important new resource for policy actors, researchers and advocates. It further serves as a touchstone to monitor States¡¯ commitment to taking ¡®immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking¡¯ by 2030, as captured in UN Sustainable Development Goal 8.7.?
