Visiting Researcher
I am Nagashree G E, a PhD scholar in the Department of Hydrology at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), India, and a recipient of the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF). I have knowledge of machine learning models, and I worked on vegetation response during forest fires. Driven by a keen interest in water management, I chose the resource nexus as the focus of my doctoral research. My work focuses on the water-energy-food-ecosystem nexus, with the objective of developing integrated solutions to address water scarcity at the basin scale. I employ advanced hydro-ecological and econometric models to quantify the synergies and trade-offs between these sectors under various climate scenarios. My goal is to bridge the gap between science, policy, and governance to develop effective water resource management strategies. In the long term, I aspire to collaborate internationally and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for global water challenges.
