²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS Launches Fast-Track Scheme for Second Master¡¯s

The new scheme enables Master¡¯s graduates of Sophia University to obtain an MSc in Sustainability in as little as one year.

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS has launched a new fast-track scheme for its Master¡¯s degree programme, which is initially available to recent Master¡¯s graduates of Sophia University, Tokyo.

Under the scheme, applicants can obtain an MSc in Sustainability from ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS in as little as one year. It is available to eligible applicants who would begin their studies at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS within three years of graduation from Sophia University.

Students will be required to meet the regular ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS graduation requirements (30 credits worth of coursework and a completed thesis). Participation in this scheme requires applying to the MSc in Sustainability programme in accordance with the application guidelines and passing the selection process.

In order to complete the Master¡¯s programme in a shorter period, participating students are advised to take ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS courses during their Master¡¯s programme at Sophia University by using the existing credit exchange arrangement. Some credits earned at Sophia University may also contribute to meeting the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS graduation requirements.

Applications are now open for September 2024 admissions to the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS postgraduate degree programmes ¡ª apply by 25 February for the MSc programme. Graduates of Sophia University who are interested in obtaining the second Master¡¯s are encouraged to learn more about the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS MSc in Sustainability.

Background

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS and Sophia University have been engaged in academic collaboration since a 2015 agreement on an Academic Cooperation and Educational Exchange Programme. The expansion of this collaboration aims to further develop future generations who will be at the forefront of global efforts towards a more sustainable future.
