Tourism and the SDGs ¡ª Enhancing Engagement of Tourists with Destinations for Responsible Travel

OUIK will host a seminar on tourism and the SDGs to discuss communication methods to deliver positive experiences to tourists.

On 29 July 2022, ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa / Kanazawa (OUIK) will organise a seminar on the theme ¡°Tourism and the SDGs ¡ª Enhancing Engagement of Tourists with Destinations for Responsible Travel¡±. It will explore communication methods through which stakeholders involved in the tourism industry can deliver positive experiences for tourists and promote the co-creation of sustainable destinations by tourists and the local population.

The seminar aims to address the balance between tourists¡¯ satisfaction and their impact on destinations, to achieve a harmonised relationship between tourism and cities. The seminar will discuss how to increase the engagement of tourists in destinations as one solution to the issue.

This event will be held online and in person in Kanazawa, Japan. To attend in person, please register. To participate online, please register as well.
