On 6 December 2023, ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS will organize a side event at the Japan Pavilion of the (UNFCCC COP28). The event will highlight the urgent need to develop institutional capacity to implement various requirements under the Paris Agreement, such as the enhanced transparency framework, nationally determined contributions, national adaptation planning process, global stocktake and credit market mechanism.
The session will convene leading experts and youth to discuss the current status and challenges to enhancing institutional capacity. It will also explore innovative solutions and the role of partnerships in realizing carbon-neutral and climate-resilient development across the globe, including the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS Postgraduate Degree Specialization on the Paris Agreement launched in September 2023.
Participation
This in-person event will take place at the COP28 Japan Pavilion (Blue Zone OA09G3) and will be open to all participants of COP28 with access to the Blue Zone.
