The (CBD COP16) was held in Cali, Colombia on 21 October ¨C 1 November 2024. Building on the (GBF), it convened delegates from across the world to address the ongoing biodiversity crisis.
The year¡¯s conference concluded with the creation of a new , and formal recognition of Indigenous Peoples and people of African descent as stewards of nature.
²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS contributed through a series of side events and research outputs, advancing discussions on inclusive and sustainable landscape management, and meaningful youth participation in the implementation of the GBF.
