In March 2024 the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC) released a new issue of Tsunakan (Vol. 43), a journal focusing on global partnerships for the environment. GEOC is a joint initiative of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, which supports activities in various social sectors towards sustainability within and beyond Japan.
The ¡°Global View¡± section of the publication featured an article by ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS experts Upalat Korwatanasakul (Consultant), Mahesti Okitasari (Consultant), Akio Takemoto (Head of Programme and Administration) and Mei Maruyama (Programme Coordinator). Titled ¡°Achieving Just Transition in Developing Countries in the Asia-Pacific Region¡±, the article discusses case studies of inclusive energy transition in Asia-Pacific. It is based on the findings of a 2023 ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS policy brief ¡°Leaving No One Behind in Carbon Neutrality Strategies: Insights from Developing Countries in Asia and the Pacific¡±.
